About Our Company

Massconsult Limited (trading as Current Car Leasing) is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our role is to provide customers with a broker service and to form suitable vehicle leasing agreements with our financial partners and customers. More information about the staff and the role of Current Car Leasing can be found on our About Us page. It is important to point out the Massconsult Limited are a credit broker and not a lender.

Massconsult Limited (trading as Current Car Leasing) is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN: 1014672 and has been added as an Appointed Representative under Eurocar Group Ltd (FRN: 718283) who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for consumer credit activities.

Our Service

We give customers comparative details for their most suitable request, we provide impartial information on vehicle makes and model to the best of our knowledge. To be able to provide our most accurate service we may request customers personal information about their circumstances to match their needs and establish a line of credit. It is vital that all information provided is relevant and accurate to assure we provide the most suitable agreement.

What services do we charge for?

Our business charges for just two services.

A processing fee* of £249.99 plus VAT (£299.99 including VAT) is charged per agreement, in order to cover the cost of documents, processing and staff to arrange the agreement with the finance provider and the dealership.

An administration fee of £199.99 plus VAT (£239.99 including VAT) for contract extensions if required once the initial contract has ended.

Providers and lenders may also pay Current Car Leasing for brokering any deals. This will often change from one deal to another.

* The processing fee must be paid at the point of sale and in the event of cancellation is non-refundable as it does not form part of any credit agreement.

Commission Disclosure

The FCA expects any intermediary to disclose to the customer that a commission may be payable by the owner, creditor or funder to the intermediary, and a customer who is a consumer, sole trader or small partnership who use our services, have a legal right to ask us to disclose the amount of commission that we receive. The commission we receive may be pre-set but can also vary and may therefore impact the amount payable by the customer.

A customer may ask for the commission to be disclosed at any time from the initial discussions through to the point their agreement is set live. After this point, Massconsult Limited have no obligation to disclose any commissions. Please contact our office to request a disclosure and we will be happy to assist.

Cooling Off Period

Under the Consumer Credit Act, you have 14 days to withdraw from a credit or loan agreement. This is known as a “cooling off period”. This is applicable to all personal contract hire agreements, regardless of whether you made it in person, over the phone or via an internet process. The 14 day period commences the day after the contract hire company accept your signed agreement. As the “Cooling Off Period” is a statutory right, in law, this cannot be waived under any circumstances.

ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival)

To provide you, the customer, with an approx. date for delivery, we obtain dates from our suppliers. These dates can be subject to a number of changes by the relevant manufacturer or due to circumstances out of our control. If this is the case, we will endeavour to keep you informed as quickly as possible. The ETA is not a confirmed delivery date and as such, you should not plan to dispose of any vehicles until such a time as we have confirmed an exact date.

Cancellations

Vehicle quotes provided are no obligation and are subject to changes in price from funders, manufacturers and government charges (VAT and VED) and are subject to availability from our suppliers/dealers. Once a vehicle and price have been agreed and vehicle order and/or funding documents have been signed, a fourteen-day cooling off period shall begin, this is required to allow enquirers the opportunity to review their documents and deal with the ability to cancel their agreement without any penalty. This cooling off period does not apply to Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP) and Partnerships with more than four partners. Cancellations after this cooling off period are subject to a cancellation fee valued at five percent of the vehicles P11D value.

Early Termination

You are able to terminate your contract hire agreement at any time by requesting an Early Termination Figure. This figure can only be generated by the leasing company directly and is subject to the current mileage of the vehicle upon request. 

Road Tax (RFL/VED)

Within a standard contract hire agreement, road tax is included for the duration of the contract and is provided by the leasing company. If a vehicle is supplied via an Operating Lease (Mercedes Benz Finance), then road tax is only included in the first year.

An additional cost may be charged to you annually, if the government increase road tax rates over and above the rates when your agreement was signed. If this is the case, these charges are usually slight but this is dependant on budgetary announcements.

Your Responsibilities

In order for Massconsult Limited to fulfil our responsibilities to you, you must:

Read all documentation we have given you and let us know if there is something that is unclear or that does not represent your requirements

Comply with the terms and conditions of any agreement we arrange for you.

Data Protection

It is important to us to keep your information confidential. In considering your application we may use a credit scoring system and search your individual records as a company director at credit reference agencies to help us or our lenders decide whether to give you credit. The credit reference agencies will keep a record of the search and this will be seen by other organisations that make searches. If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention and law enforcement agencies.
